This Privacy Policy explains how VibeSifter ("VibeSifter," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with VibeSifter.com and related services (the "Service").

1. Scope

This policy applies to information processed through the VibeSifter Service. It does not govern eBay, eBay sellers, or other third-party websites and services that you may reach through VibeSifter. Those third parties have their own privacy practices.

2. Information We May Process

Information you provide. If you contact VibeSifter, request support, respond to a survey, or otherwise send information to us, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message, and attachments.

Technical and security information. Our hosting, content-delivery, security, or infrastructure providers may automatically process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the Service, such as IP address, browser or device type, operating system, referring page, requested pages, timestamps, error information, and similar server/request data.

Saved searches, saved cars, and interface preferences. VibeSifter may use browser storage on your device, such as local storage or similar technology, to support features such as Saved cars, Saved searches, filters, and interface preferences. Data stored only in your browser remains under your browser/device controls. If a future version syncs this information to VibeSifter servers or to an account, this policy will be updated accordingly.

Affiliate and outbound-link information. Some links to eBay include affiliate or campaign identifiers. When you click an outbound link, eBay and its service providers may receive information associated with that visit and may use cookies or other technologies under eBay's own policies. VibeSifter may receive EPN reporting related to referrals, qualifying transactions, commissions, or campaign performance. We do not receive your payment-card information from eBay merely because you follow an affiliate link.

Analytics or diagnostics. We may use service providers to measure traffic, diagnose errors, understand performance, prevent abuse, or maintain security. When such services are used, they may process technical and usage information such as device, browser, page, request, event, or error data.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to provide and operate the Service; remember user-selected settings or saved items; maintain security and prevent abuse; troubleshoot errors; understand performance and usage; respond to messages and support requests; measure affiliate referrals; enforce our Terms; comply with law; and protect VibeSifter, users, sellers, third parties, and the public.

4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to service providers that host, secure, maintain, analyze, or support the Service, subject to appropriate arrangements; to eBay or another third party when you choose to follow a link or interact with that third party; when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations; to protect rights, property, safety, or the integrity of the Service; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

VibeSifter does not sell vehicles and does not process your vehicle-purchase payment information.

5. Affiliate Links and eBay

VibeSifter participates in the eBay Partner Network. VibeSifter may earn compensation when you make qualifying purchases after using certain links. Affiliate tracking is governed in part by eBay and its providers. For information about eBay's privacy practices, review the privacy information provided by eBay.

6. Cookies and Similar Device Storage

VibeSifter may use cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar technologies for functionality, preferences, security, analytics, or diagnostics. Some device storage may be necessary to provide a feature you request, such as remembering saved items or settings. Third-party services reached through VibeSifter, including eBay, may use their own cookies and similar technologies.

Where applicable law requires consent before non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies are used, VibeSifter will provide the required notice and controls.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating and securing the Service, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Browser-stored information may remain on your device until you clear site data, delete saved items through the Service, use private-browsing controls, or otherwise remove it. Retention periods for infrastructure logs and third-party services may vary according to operational and security needs and provider settings.

8. Your Choices

You can choose not to send optional information to VibeSifter. You can use browser controls to delete or block cookies and site storage, although doing so may reset Saved items or preferences or make some features work differently. You can choose not to follow affiliate links. You may also have privacy rights under the laws where you live, which can include rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about certain personal data, subject to legal exceptions and whether the applicable law applies to VibeSifter.

9. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

VibeSifter does not directly sell personal information for money. Whether a particular analytics, advertising, or third-party technology is legally treated as a "sale" or "sharing" can vary by jurisdiction. If applicable law requires an opt-out mechanism based on VibeSifter's actual practices, VibeSifter will provide one.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and VibeSifter does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information directly to VibeSifter, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information in our control. No internet service, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. International Visitors

VibeSifter is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from another country, information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Applicable privacy rights may vary by location.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, data practices, vendors, or law change. The Effective date above indicates when the current version took effect. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or another reasonable method.
